Early Warning Signs for Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis also referred to as MS, is a disease that affects the brain and spinal cord (the central nervous system). With Multiple Sclerosis, the immune system intended to keep your body healthy attacks the body parts that are important to the overall functioning in the body. The protecting sheath which covers the nerve fibers gets damaged, resulting in weakened functioning in the brain, spinal cord and the rest of the body. The early signs include: 1. Bladder issues The majority of people with Multiple sclerosis suffer from a dysfunctional bladder. As a result, symptoms related to Urinary such as lack of ability to hold in urine frequently urinating and a strong urge to urinate are very common to people with this disease. Some people experience diarrhea, constipation, or loss of bowel control. 2. Cognitive problems Cognitive impairment crops up in nearly half of multiple sclerosis patients since the disease causes damage to the nerve fibers in the brain. Cognitive problems include language problems, complex attention, difficulty staying organized, episodic, and (information processing speed) and shortened attention span. Depressions, as well as other emotional health issues, are also very common. 3. Balance problems Balance problems or dizziness are also very common signs of MS.
